El Cocinero

14 Mar. 2018

El Cocinero opened in February 2013 and has instantly become a smash hit. It’s a great spot for a pre-dinner drink, followed by a memorable meal. Enter through the imposing brick chimney – this used to be a vegetable oil factory and it retains its industrial vibe. Climb three flights of stairs to the outdoor rooftop bar, where you can enjoy one of the best mojitos in Havana, although all of the cocktails merit a try. Stay on the terrace for tasty alfresco tapas, or head down one flight to the restaurant for the fusion Cuban cuisine. The service is fast and efficient under the watchful eye of the dynamic Rafael. This is a hot spot for the mixed crowd of glamourous young Cubans, expatriates and well-informed travelers. Superb cocktails, great food, good service – El Cocinero doesn’t disappoint! In fact, you may want to reserve a table...
