After a series of exhilarating preliminary rounds, the stage was set for the pinnacle of bartending excellence in Brazil. The final leg of Havana Club’s prestigious cocktail tournament brought together ten dynamic teams in São Paulo, each working their way for the chance to represent the country in the global finals. The finalists were tasked with not only presenting their signature cocktail but also crafting an immersive bar experience that embodied the spirit of their partnership.
The competition criteria were clear: magnify Havana Club rum as the centerpiece of the cocktail and incorporate two homemade ingredients, each reflecting the unique personality of the team members. With just 15 minutes to prepare and impress a discerning jury, the pressure was on to deliver a masterpiece that would stand out in a field of exceptional talent.
The atmosphere crackled with excitement as the teams unleashed their creativity, transforming the bar into a stage for innovation and flair. Each entry reflected the team’s camaraderie, passion, and ingenuity, making the judging process a formidable challenge for the panel.
However, amidst the spirited performances and exquisite drinks, one team emerged victorious – Ruan Pablo Da Roza Lara and Henrique Maruyama Wogel, creators of the mesmerizing cocktail “Ara Haku.”
As Brazil’s representatives, Ruan Pablo Da Roza Lara and Henrique Maruyama Wogel will now carry the torch of excellence to the world stage, where they will compete in the global finals in Havana, Cuba, on April 15, 2024.
