Czech Republic Finalists
The spirit of Havana Club lit up Prague on a vibrant day that brought together tradition, creativity, and Cuban soul. The bustling city welcomed finalists from across the Czech Republic for an unforgettable edition of the Havana Club Cocktail Maestros national final.
Before the competition began, the atmosphere was already buzzing at the renowned cocktail bar Lfleur. The judges, composed of Tomáš Nyari and Bara Kulhánková, both finalists from the first year of HCC, alongside Brand Ambassador Jakub Vinš and Vlastimil Fau, On Trade Channel Development Manager, set the stage for a challenging and inspiring event.
For the final, a knowledge test about the Havana Club rum brand was prepared to gauge the contestants’ expertise. To add to the challenge, a blind rum tasting was conducted, where participants had to identify Havana Club Especial, Havana Club 7 Year Old, and Havana Club Selección de Maestros.
The competition was intense and full of surprises. Each team showcased their creativity, storytelling, and mixology skills, but it was the winning pair, Ondřej Císař and Marek Šimůnek, who excelled in both the test and the blind tasting with a perfect score. Their cocktail, “Connection,” stood out for its concept of bridging connections on multiple levels, from legendary Prague bars to global bartenders, and from culinary arts to mixology. With their win, they now move forward to the global finals, ready to represent the Czech Republic with fire and flair.
A huge shoutout to all participating teams, judges, and the vibrant community that made this event such a celebration of talent and togetherness. Prague brought the Cuban spirit to life, and this is just the beginning.
