Havana Club Maestra & Primer Maestro del ron Cubano
Salome Alemán y Juan Carlos Gonzales are both Havana Club Master of Cuban rum. They have an important role during the development of Havana Club innovation.
Professional Edition D explores the raw expression of Cuban sugarcane and aguardiente.

It was created by the Cuban rum master Salome Aleman and head of Cuban rum masters Juan Carlos Gonzalez in collaboration with bar entrepreneurs Carina Soto Velasquez and Alex Kratena.

By Blending fresh destilado de caña with full-bodied and aromatic aged aguardientes, it delivers an intense expression of Cuban rum’s unique character.

The Harvest Moon cocktail highlights the grassy, sugarcane, full-bodied and oily characteristics of Professional Edition D. I chose to work with Orgeat, an ingredient I don’t often use but in this drink it really amplifies the texture of D. The two herbal components in this drink are there to pay respect to Cuban’s unique terroir which was the inspiration for this edition.
